The State museum's origins date back to 1909 when it was known as Edward Museum, nestled within the central library building under the governance of Ajayabghar. Following the formation of Madhya Pradesh state, the museum was shifted to Banganga Road and was reestablished on November 2, 2005.

Entry Fees: Rs 20 for Indians, Rs 400 per person for foreigners
