Bancha, a pastoral village located in the Betul district of Madhya Pradesh, lies within the culturally rich Mahakoshal region. It is home to the indigenous Gond tribe and is often referred to as Gondwana due to the widespread use of the Gondi language among its residents.

Notably, Bancha holds the distinction of being the first village in the country where every household uses a solar-powered induction cooker.
