Kathiya Wheat, Bundelkhand

Cultivated across the Bundelkhand region and some regions of Uttar Pradesh, Kathiya Wheat is valued for its nutritional qualities. Rich in essential nutrients, it has gained recognition for both its quality and growing acceptance in wider markets, a significance that was further reinforced when it was granted GI status in 2024. Known for its rich sweetness and appealing aroma, it is enjoyed as a fresh fruit and in products such as pulp, juice, candy, aam papad, pickles, amchur powder, and frozen pulp. Recognised for its regional identity, Sundarja Mango received its GI tag in 2023 and remains one of Rewa's most cherished horticultural products.

Chinnor Rice, Balaghat

Balaghat, known for its rich rice-growing tradition, is home to Chinnor Rice, a variety prized for its distinctive aroma and soft texture. Its fragrance is noticeable even before cooking, while careful cultivation helps preserve the purity of the grain. Recognised for its unique identity, Chinnor Rice received its GI tag in 2021. Today, it stands among Madhya Pradesh's most well-known GI-tagged agricultural products and remains closely tied to Balaghat's farming heritage.

Nagpuri (Satpuda) Orange, Chhindwara and Pandhurna

The orange-growing belt of Chhindwara and Pandhurna is known for producing the GI-tagged Nagpuri or Satpuda Orange. With its refreshing flavour and vibrant appeal, this citrus fruit adds colour to the agricultural landscape of Madhya Pradesh, and its long-standing association with the Satpuda belt was formally recognised when it received its GI tag in 2014.
