Day 1: Arrival at Bhopal (morning), Local Bhopal sightseeing.

On arrival at Bhopal, visit local attractions of Bhopal. Check into the hotel and proceed for further sightseeing. Overnight stay at Bhopal.

  • Bhopal: The capital of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal is a fascinating amalgam of scenic beauty, a proud heritage and modern urban planning.

  • Tribal Museum: The Tribal Museum celebrates the lifestyle, folklore, social customs and rituals of the seven indigenous tribes of Madhya Pradesh – the Bhils, Gonds, Bharias, Korku, Sahariya, Baiga and Kol are displayed in the museum through a repository of traditional art and elegance. It celebrates the way of life of these seven major tribes of the state through their handlooms and craft. 

  • The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS), one of the popular museums in Bhopal that documents the lives of over 450 of India's Adivasi Tribes and is one of a kind in the country.

  • Taj-ul-Masajid: It is not only the largest mosque in India but is also listed amongst the largest in Asia.

  • Bada Talab: It is known to be one of the largest man-made lakes in India. By evening, enjoy boat ride at bada talab.

Day 2:Bhopal- Sanchi- Bhojpur- Bhimbetka

This morning guest can take fresh breeze at Van Vihar, later after breakfast at hotel, check out from hotel visit UNESCO heritage site Bhimbetka & Sanchi, and the ancient temple of Bhojpur. Evening drop at airport for onward connection.

Highlights:

  • Sanchi: (46 kms via Diwanganj and 72 kms via Raisen from Bhopal) Sanchi is known for its stupas, monasteries, temples and pillars dating from the 3rd century B.C. to the 12th century A.D. The Sanchi Stupa, the best known, was originally built by the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka.

  • Bhojpur- (28 kms from Bhopal): Bhojpur is famous for its exquisite 11th century Shiva temple, Bhojeshwar, and the lake built by Raja Bhoja Paramara. The temple also houses an enormous 7.5ft. 'Shivalingam' carved out of a single stone. 

  • Bhimbetka: (46 kms from Bhopal) The Vindhya Mountain range is covered by huge rocks, and recent discoveries have confirmed 600 rock shelters (the largest group in the world) that reveal paintings dating back to the early Stone Age.
