The music festival commemorates the artistic achievements of Tansen and musicians from across the lengths and breadths of the country feel proud and honoured to showcase their talent in the festival. On this occasion, the state government also bestows special awards to the individuals who have made an exceptional contribution in the field of music. The festival is very popular as no entry fee is charged and the weather and ambience provide the perfect mix to enjoy the music.
