All set for a leisurely run vacation? Well, get ready for a ‘Go heritage run’ in Orchha on December 16. Take this opportunity to run through this 16th-century town and get yourself to traverse some of Orchha's iconic sites. 

Orchha's run routes will be a combination of road and trail which will give you an opportunity to come across beautiful Chhatris (cenotaphs), fort, temples and legacy left by Bundela dynasty. 

Go Heritage Run is meant to be a ‘fun run’ which is organized every year at various locations. The run is designed to be a holistic experience that will make you explore the scenic beauty and cultural variety of rich heritage that exists in MP. 

The Run will start at 6 am from Sheesh Mahal and run routes will be for 5km, 10km and 21km. The last date for registration is December 13.

    The historic town of Orchha, nestled on the banks of river Betwa, was founded in the 16th century by the Bundela Rajput Chief, Rudra Pratap. Here, the river Betwa splits into seven channels, also called the Satdhara. Legend goes that this is in honour of the seven erstwhile Chiefs of Orchha.
